Focus: What lives at the bottom of the ocean?
How do creatures survive there? (adaptations, ocean zones, extreme environments) Duration: 1 hour Max Numbers: 30 students per session Lesson Highlights: We explore the different depth layers of the ocean and examine the creatures that can be found in each layer. Students will discover some of the amazing features that marine creatures utilise to survive harsh conditions such as extreme temperatures, pressure and total darkness. We will discuss the importance and role of all ocean animals and as a group, we will suggest possible solutions to existing conservation issues. Including positive steps we can take to prevent further environmental damage (living sustainably). |
Please Note: Our lesson format uses group discussions, educator lead questioning and worksheets (for older groups) interspersed with the use of VR equipment to highlight focus areas. The use of VR equipment for each student does not exceed a 15min block, which is in line with product use recommendations.
