We explore the meaning of sustainability, what it means for us and for our planet.
Students will consider their own personal connection with the ocean and watch a video outlining the problems facing our environment, including their causes and impacts.
We will discuss the importance and role of coral reef ecosystems and examine a 3D model of coral identifying its features.
As a group, we will suggest solutions to existing issues and theorise possible future solutions. Including positive steps we can take to prevent further environmental damage.
*Grades 4-6 will complete a worksheet during the lesson.
Please Note: Our lesson format uses group discussions, educator lead questioning and worksheets (for older groups) interspersed with the use of VR equipment to highlight focus areas. The use of VR equipment for each student does not exceed 15min, which is in line with product use recommendations.
