What's New?

Ocean Stars Turn TV Stars With Channel 9

We have had the privilege of being part of a new TV show this year called "Brain Buzz". Our Ocean Stars had a great time being part of this fantastic sciencey show for kids! Visit the 9Now website to view previous episodes and lookout for us on episode 50 "Oceans".  We might also be making another appearance later this year!!

World Science Festival  2018

We were very privileged to be invited to attend the World Science Festival in Brisbane again this year!

We partnered with BCC Green Heart Community Initiatives & helped to educate Grade 7 students from South East QLD about caring for our environment & maintaining healthy waterways.

Our 'Ocean Stars' (the animals!) were a hit with the Grade 7's and helped to highlight the animals that benefit from taking care of waterways and the ocean!

What a fabulous event to be part of!

Ocean Stars Partners With Boondall Wetlands Environment Centre Again in 2018

For the 3rd year running, we have partnered with the fabulous team at Boondall Wetalnds Environment Centre  to help educate the community about marine life.

Come on down and meet our beautiful ocean friends and explore some seashore treasures. You can also check out the environment centre displays, hire some binoculars and go for a wander through the wetlands to discover more wildlife!

We also provide educational programs throughout the year for holiday programs, international groups, community events and University of Queensland educational programs.

We are so grateful for their continued support and are proud to assist with their education initiatives!

Ocean Stars will again be at Boondall Wetlands Environment Centre on the Last Sunday of every month (10:00am - 12:00pm) during 2018 for FREE community drop-in sessions.
